please intro yourself in the newbies section before posting any threads.

suggest to further segment your questions into something more simple. example: why buy a BMW?

your question about who should drive and when is the next model is too far apart and not related. there is no synergy in these two questions to help you determine which models to buy

if this was an exam question related to the principles of marketing, i would say its a 'red herring', make a quick complain and get full marks for this question without having to do it.

This is hilarious. Firstly it's in the wrong section, and secondly what does "Who should drive 3 series and who should drive 5 series" mean anyway? Are there stereotypes I'm unaware about?
Haha. Anyway, welcome to the forum, but always intro intro intro first. In any forum. =p

bro Van1ty, i used to drive an e36 and just upgraded recently to an e46. my MD drives a 5 series. i've been asked many times by my friends to upgrade to a 5 series.

bottom line is this, it depend who's got bigger balls. in my case, my balls ain't big enough to take on the MD. enuff said!

For me personally, it's how you pull it off. It could be and e36 or even an e60, but if your don't carry it well, it would simply defeat the purpose. =) And to me, if someone drives a 5-series, it's their loss when I'm way ahead on the highway doing 260. =p

Bro Van1ty, if you drive an E60, people will think you're driving your father's car be it an M5 even. This is only fair considering your youngish boyish good looks! Hahahaha!

I am having the mentioned problem! I used to drove a Vios where my boss was only driving a Waja.
He finally upgraded himself with a used honda accord(the earlier 2004/5 facelift) and i just bought a brand new E90.

What i have to do now everyday is to double check where my boss park his car, and avoid parking anyplace near his ride. Never go home at the same time, sorry no car pool for lunch , always avoiding from letting him know that i had a much better ride than his. :p

Really... is a everyday hide and seek thing

bro, sorry to hear about your situation. i was once asked by my colleague who has worked in this company for 17 years and she asked how come i can drive a bimmer after just 6 months. this was infront of all my other staffs.

i told her.." Alice, every night i sell CD's at the pasar malam...weekend , i sell durian's at the roadside...you think i only survive on company salary...how cannnnnnnnn...."

that shut her up!

hehe....then my case is the lucky one...

i was poisoned by my manager to get an E36 coupe...while he is driving an E39...

and the best thing is...our GM just bought an E60 !!:top: haha...and currently we are planning to go somewhere with our bimmers....:wink: Cheers !

its a tough question indeed. but the norm in Malaysia for a person to choose what kind of car to suit him/her really depend on their income level.

a millionaire can drive a Saga and keep his money in banks or having lots of properties.

there's no rule when it comes to choose a car. i have seen many young men driving Porsche, Lambo...etc..

A 31 yr old of 2 Elite Restaurant owner, Jeffrey Soh, offering 'fine-dining' experience in singapore, owns $SGD2.7 mil worth of cars in his garage. a Bentley, a Lambo Gallardo Superleggera, Aston Martin DB9. and E60 + Audi Q7 as his daily drivers since his 'supercars' cant clear the humps in most parking in S'pore...

Buying handbags and designer clothes doesn't help either. =p
Recently me and my gf had a small argument discussing the value of a brand new set of BBS LMs and a CHANEL hand bag, both costing the same thing. I still don't understand it. Haha.

I actually agree on that. I'm not a big fan of big flashy cars for young ppl. I've seen college kids in E60s, Merc SLs, and even Porsches. I'm very fortunate to be able to drive what I have today, let alone have a car for myself. But I feel that it's just at the borderline where ppl can't say, "you're driving your father's car". And to the uninformed, it looks just like a regular BMW 3-series anyway. =p

infact seen some that come out with 1/2 the depo and then pay pee-nuts in their monthly instalement too ....

extra money spend for holidays , karaoke , boost , spa etc etc ...less head ache
