IDrive cannot sync with iphone 4S

i just got mt car yesterday. i can only use the bluetooth function for telephone. it cannot detect the 4S for other function ie music, contacts, foto. anyone have these probs . please advice

I think you must download the BMW aps in yr Iphone first. The followng article by Paul tan maybe of helpn to you

bro....with bluetooth you can only sync contact, internet and music. Just unpair it first and pair it again. Make sure you check all the options given when ask what to pair.
This should do it.

I collected mine....328i, able to syn wif contact/internet/music via bluetooth

I have contacted BMW and they want me to bring back my car for an inspection. Maybe they forget to upload several programs.

Bro, if you're able to use the telephone I presume you've managed to pair it. From your external devices/bluetooth audio... choose your device and (push your i-drive to the right) then configure device... check telephone, data transfer and audio. Remember to press ok.

That should set you up for contacts and bluetooth audio.

Bro, I have just checked with BMW. They have confirm that my Idrive had a software problem. They want to reprogram my Idrive but the idrive version is 7.0. The only version that they have is version 6.6 . Maybe by next month only the version 7.0 is available in Malaysia. hmmm wait again.
