Hi everybody,I am a big fan of Malaysia for last year and planned to visit Your country. Now things have changed and I thought, what if I could work in Malaysiain BMW dealership for year or two and familiarise more deeply wiht Your country, nature, culture and weather :)Unfortunately, government portal malaysia.gov.my does not open for me and I would like to ask You, dear BMW fans, could You please help me with useful links and advices before I send out my CV.Is my plan practicable? Is it possible to get work from not Asian country at all? Are the employers intrested in hiring foreigners only for a couple of years?Anything else, what I should know?I have been working for BMW dealer in one of the nordic countries for 16 years as BMW mechanic, technician, warranty specialist, IT specialist(common IT support and keeping alive five new integrated workshop and diagnostic systems ISIS) and now I work, due to economical recession, again as BMW technician. If this posting is wrong in some way, please forgive me and delete it.Best regards, santa

Hi Santa, welcome to the forum. I think your idea is practical, not sure if it's going to be financially feasible but could be worth a try. You don't have to go thru the government to work in BMW Malaysia. 1stly, you'd need to get a job with a locally incorporated company & they'll arrange for the necessary stuff on your behalf. If you want to work in BMW, you need to contact someone who is working for their authorized dealers in Malaysia. Good luck in your search:wink:

Does anyone here have the correct information to assist santa? Feedback please:)

Santa, there are alot of opportunities here if you're really good with BMW cars as a skilled worker. Suggest to come to Malaysia look for a job or secure partnership with local established workshop. Sign deal. Get working permit visa. For more info, checkout http://www.imi.gov.my/

while some of the info many not have been updated, suggest to checkout your local malaysian embassy for details. If you're really serious, we could try to fix meetings with local BMW specialist workshops.

cheers!

Thank You Climenta and Hellraiser,

Of course, visiting Malaysia is the most easiest way to find job, but it is also most expensive way.
Flying several times a half way across the globe is a bit too much for me.
Ok, now I know that my plan is practicable.
I will contact Your dealers by internet and if they have vacancies and I am suitable for them, then I can consider visiting Malaysia for job interview.

Thank You again and best regards,
santa
