I got Continental Sport Contact 2, Michelin PP2 and now presently on Bridgestone Adrenalin. I am so tired of the uncomfortableness. Age catching up? I am only 35 y.o. On new year recently, I join in a relatives car, same car (e39 528i) as mine but on Falken 912. I never heard of them before. But the trip was relax and much nicer for the long journey. Anybody here can help with choice of comfortable tires yet safe enough in the rain?

hello.. i notice that was ur first post. you probably would get more responses from the senior guys here by introducing yourself at the newbie section first. anyway, am new here myself, and i'm also on adrenalins on my e46. i find the comfort quite acceptable, but the difference in grip between wet and dry is huge.. excellent and progressive when dry, but scary in the wet. next set, PS2!

mizhan, i do not have much problems with wet grip on Adrenalin. My tires are made in Japan. Could it be due to this?

After hearing so many good reviews on FI Asymmetric, would like to give this a try.

RCBL, perhaps it's not the tyres that's not up to the mark on my car, but the driver

my next change will be none other then FI Asymmetric once the current sitting bald out.

Bro Mizhan, dont be so modest ler!!! Mayb time to change up to FI Asymmetric

appreciate if anyone can give us a review on FI Asymmetric after using them. anyway, i heard falken azenis st-115 is a silent performance tyre with good wet and dry grip, however short lifespan about 30,000km only.

first u have to make sure ur car suspension set up is done correctly. are u on sports springs? for comfortable rides, use standard suspension. once done that, check ur tire pressures are correct. maybe too hard.
most good brands are OK. from my experience, goodyear f1s are really good in the wet and dry. and comfortable too. the latest f1s have very good reviews. i suspect ur suspension is not set up right. go to a good tyre shop. the one in taman tun dr ismail (Lee tayar) is reputable.

remember, soft compound tires are quieter but wears out fast. low profile tires are also noisier than standard tires and less comfortable.

its not that difficult to understand about tires really.

I got the ZE912 because F1 Asymmetric not launched yet and Hankook V12 no size. ZE912 side wall is soft and I feel it at corners. While it's still new, it's a LOT quieter than my previous ~3yr old Hankook K104. My biggest concern with this tire is that it floats over a patch of standing water at ~80kph. My old Hankook K104 did not float over the same area at the same speed. Don't understand why, the ZE912 does have 4 very wide grooves...

On bmw rwd, i prefer continental contactsports 3. really confident during wet, and excellent in dry. however, a bit noisy though...

imo, harshness normally related to suspension setups and tires profiles.

Some of alternative route for tires to a more comfortable ride :
1. Get smaller wheel. Bigger profile tires absorb more bounce on the road.
2. Less tires pressure. Follow factory guidelines
3. Choose softer sidewalls tires

Is hard to find a good combination of performance and comfort

tires should be available, call up your nearest Goodyear branch and ask them order for you if not already in stock.
i got mine last week, gonna fit the rims in today.
