I always wonder how our dads and grandpas restore classics in the "Pre-internet" days

Morning...Just wanted your views on restoring classic car in the old days...Right now I think we take for granted the ease of getting parts for classic cars. First we communicate via fax in the early 90s. Then mid 90s we use internet. Then late 90s came Ebay...I cant imagine out dads sending "snail mail" asking for parts and then waiting for 2-3 weeks for reply. Or maybe they just call up @ international rate in the wee hours of the night (time diff) to talk to the person at the desk of the "parts store".Now its just click "Add to Cart" ... Walla!:)

My dad used to stay up late at nite just to call Uk for his Morris Minor side mirror hehehe.. Memang susah lor zaman tu byk pkai duit smata2 nak dptkan satu2 parts. Bil telepon jgn citer la ;)

haha.. I think by that time most of the cars we consider classics now were still top notch.
