Lately my car is very sluggish n heavy.........Shit :beaten: .......therefore decided to do something.........1st thing i did was decard my car at Auto kanak-kanak.......Car feel better for pick up............but still feel that engine quite hard to rev high although recarb done...... Joined the Penang drive then n met up wit Vasu n hessly ........ When i know Vasu is a mech ......immediately asked him to check out my car in front hotel lobby...free servicemah...hehehhehe........after a few rev of my engine, he said the valves is too tied......need to readjust it......common call adjust the tappad.......So send my car to his place Wednesday.........readjust the tappad n O2......Wow....car feel even better then.......Feel very happy now .....my car now feel very smooth n perform better....so for M20 engine owner ....if ur car feel sluggish......u may do it.......1. Decarb2. adjust the valves@tappad......Above just my experience ......maybe others feel diff......Hope this will help.....Thanks to hessly n vasu.....

Thanks for advice.

Now that u mention it.....u recall I ask if the smoke in picture is during normal operation? U said it's during decarb process......

I assume the foam used for decarb is WATER based.....

so when u see "smoke" coming out during de-carb....I guess that's water vapour, not oil sludge as I think u would like to think....did u put hand on "smoke" to feel if it's water?

well, if I am mistaken - do correct me ha...

anyhow - there's no magic in refreshing an engine...but good u are sharing the info.

cheers

Yes a water based checm.....the mech said is a kind of patrol n when pump to engine...it will burn the carbon inside the engine.......

I also got way to 'steam clean' the engine...

used to have this water injection kit in the car.. KL to Penang consumed 3 liter of water... and very good consumption..

My experience with my ex e30 M20 engine, if the engine struggling to rev above 5500 rpm, it could be the AFM.
