How to DIY repair your windscreen lower penal moulding

When your car come to an age, rubber part are the most common of wear & tear, this post i show you the cheapest way to repair it.View attachment 29788this is how my panel look like View attachment 29789another angleView attachment 29790take a cutter to cut ageing rubber awayView attachment 29791now no more broken rubber, edge smoothView attachment 29792get 2pcs of upper windscreen mounting from our national carView attachment 29793apply elephant glue on edge of the penalView attachment 29794after stick, the mounting is look like thisView attachment 29795fix the penal to it placeView attachment 29796apply armorall to match the old plastic penal to new rubberView attachment 29797after fix back wiper arm, does it look handsome?All damage only cost rm6.80 x 2=13.60+ 1 (elephant glue)=rm14.60

Bro may I...
open ur bonnet and put on the stand...
the lower moulding should have 8-10 plastic plug if not mistaken...almost same with other models....
first remove ur wiper blade assembly then remove the moulding plug...
now the moulding can be remove to do the DIY session...hope can give some help here...my 3cents...
 
I've changed mine (the windscreen (bottom) cover/cowl). If i remember correctly, the item priced at RM 160 and you may want to replace the "apron covers" (left & right) as well. The part number if is 51718232633/4 (RM100/pair). Its a less-than-an-hour DIY.

What bro Rick Wong did is just minor rework on the actual parts and diy it..:rock:
 
Ya agreed, i replaced mine with new ones since its not only cracked but considered "hancus" already. The apron covers was really in a bad shape...

OK I have bought the windshield cover. parts number 51718189100 . Bought from Bavarian Auto Parts 03-78765555 http://www.bavarian.....php?p=branches

Cost me RM 218 for the whole panel
