How fast is the E90?

the single seater at the back is a formula bmw? anyone has any spec on the engine?

i kinda like the use of the blue and red theme on the cars, and the flared arches on that e90 should be standard on all e90's!

if i'm not mistaken FormulaBMW cars uses a BMW motorcycle engine..from the K1200S sportsbike(not sure of the actual designation).in standard(bike)form it makes 165bhp but i don't know what it makes in racecar form.the engine is a 4cyl 16v unit 1157cc and revs to 11000rpm.

the wheelarch extension looks nice..but it'll limit the suspension travel of a production roadcar setup and also steering angle.good for cornering at highspeeds due to the increased track and it will make the car look awesome but i'm afraid its a bit too impractical for normal driving.

just ask any of the guys with wheelarch extensions/widebody kits...

yup..that wud be a pain wudn't it???

well,the e90 with 19"s and sports suspension wud be enuff to do the trick.i think it will look terrific..we all know how fast the e90 is(at least in 6cyl guise that is),so all it needs is to look the part.

saw an article on the 2.0 e90.they are selling a limited run of higher tuned versions of the 2.0 valvy to coincide with the e90 WTCC making 175bhp and sports suspension and 18"alloys.hmmm... :wink:

there is a nice writeup with excellent pictures on the K1200s engine in http://www.sportrider.com/bikes/2005/146_05_bmw_k12s_drive/ .

note high port head design for inlet as well as individual throttle bodies. compression ratio at 13:1 is pretty darn high but that should explain 130Nm out of 1.157L.

try do a search..i'm pretty sure they've tuned the ECU and also upped the compression ratio.not very sure about the rest..but even the engine looks a bit different(the huge plastic cover is gone and replaced by a smaller one).
