Hmmmmm E92 335i is faster then E46 M3?

:listen: ...since 2010 bro .. the 2007 model Twin T comes with a 306bhp whilst mine the 2008-2009 model comes with 326bhp :4:....

Mr. Prez as I recall only the 335is is being offered with 326ps for US and Canada

2 very different cars.

E46 M3 is hard to launch (manual), needs a good driver. Torque is high up in the rev range.
E92 335i can be fast even with a average driver.

Stock vs stock from a standstill the E46 M3 would be faster with a good driver, but with a bad launch the E92 335i could win.
Around the track or twisties the E46 M3 will be faster.

Which I can't find any except for the ones mentioned which is the North american market :4:

The one that have the upgrade power plant is the 335is, z4 35is (world wide) and the 1M ...

Upgraded power plant? ... The N54 is indeed one mean power machine ... especially in the 1M series ... little wonder its kinda hard for the E46 to even see its smoke I say .... cabutsssss.... :vroam:.....

Stock with stock no way 335i can outgun an m3. Tuned 335i is a different story but so is a tuned m3. My own experience is traffic light drag i will always be ahead as i would be prepared but a rolling drag race is where the 335i is king cause they have ample torque at a lower and i have to work at a higher rpm to get to my power band. At the corners? who has the bigger marbles i guess

To my knowledge i didn't know there was any 335is in malaysia thought there were for NA market only.

I recently acquired a 46 M3. Before taking the decision, I tested 3 cars to ensure I spend my money wisely.

E92 335i - modern, awesome look, light, nimble. Torquey at all revs. Felt like driving a supped up JDM, fast but not enuff feel
E92 M3 - similar as above tech and looks wise, sounds great, well balanced. I just could not fathom spending 380k, so had to give it a skip
E46 M3 - for under 200k, u will never find a car that handles so well, and literally teaches you how to drive. It seriously takes kahuna's to keep a car that powerful in the rev band for max power

So I don't know how to debate this topic, cause the comparisons are not going to be fair to the enthusiast of each model. However, a ///M is still a ///M, pinnacle of BMW's power and handling technology. There is no dispute there even from the most avid 335i fan.

Pls don't race on public roads to put this theory to a test, it's very dangerous. The track is the place for such exploits.

My experience in Nort-South Expressway,
Once you reach 200 km/h, there is always some body in front that force you to slow down and accelarate again.

You are not wrong there bro but like I hv said earlier, it all depends on who is behind the wheels :4: ..... moreover if one see the spec stock for stock ... the 335i is still much better, more so with its lighter body ...

E92 335i - N54B30 - 2979cc - 335bhp / 450Nm
E46 M3 - S54B32 - 3246cc - 338bhp / 365Nm

For the E46, thts the Eur version and if its the US spec is 333bhp / 355Nm ... unless u hv the E46 M3 GTR (Race version) than thats a whole lot of power for a small ride ... 438bhp / 479Nm.

You forgot to list the 0-100 times.
'07 335i (Manual) - 5.6s
'10 335i (DCT) 5.4s
'02 E46 M3 (Manual & SMGII) - 5.1s
'08 E92 M3 (DCT) - 4.6s

PS: Car & Driver tested the US version (333hp) of the E46 M3 and got 0-100 times of 4.8s

So I must say the E46 M3 is better :4::4::4:

GTI drivers always have something to prove. I have had alot of fun toying with them in my M3. At the next traffic light they stop trying to be a hero.

The TT RS is a very quick car! 0-100 in 5.4s with DSG

The sublime handling of this car puts a smile on my face everytime I drive it.
Having regularly driven my brother's E36 M3 Evo, I drive with traction control off in my E46 M3. When it reaches its peak rev range it is a handful to control, a squirt of the throttle can put the car sideways!
Once you have driven one, there is no substitute for ///M
