Help me!! Front Passenger Carpet Flooded with Water!!

Hi Guy!! I'm having problem with my car. I'm driving a 318i(e46) year 2003. Day before yesterday, i noticed the front passenger side carpet was flooded with water. i open the door panel and checked the inner plastic cover and everything looks ok. My floor mat was not wet. Only the carpet underneat was wet. This happen when i parked my car outside during raining days.. Can you sifu's out there help me.. anyone experined this before.. please help me guys!! thank you..

im having the same problem too bro..
the top of the carpet is not wet.
under the carpet is wet..
i took out the floor mat and the sponge part is all wet(donno how to explain).

Check the drainage hole on each side. It might clogged by the leaves.

it's likely the aircond drainage hole. right under the glovebox/dash, there is a rubber hose. Pull that out and clean out. It should be okay after that.

I think there are two probability, one like Affan and syahmi described and two it came in from outside (you did mention it happened when you park your car outside when it rain). Like gysy21 mention, check the drainage hole (i also don't know where) and also check every rubber seal (where the aircond hose and other wiring came in from the engine compartment) at the firewall. Hope this help.

i think better let the expert do it for you. I had done mine (not e46, the old lady), explain it to Naidu and after some small cash transfer to him, the similar problem solved till now. That was 4 or 5 years back.

I have experienced similar problem on my previous Audi A4 too. It was due to some leakage at the
seal on the windscreen. Checked almost all possible areas and finally found the source.

There are two posibilities.

1.Check the AC unit diagram of number 9 hose. It might be clogged like everyone said.

2.Secondly Check the drainage hole of the splash wall which have been circled with red. It might be clogged by leaves and water flows in if wire have runs into the firewall when those wireman install alarm system. Might be this possibilities.

The drainage hole is located on each side. On RHS is below the master brake pump. And on the LHS is located below control Unit Box.

No need all that guys..... My problem was solved so simple.... go to my mechanic in pandan indah.... Albert Pang will help u solve this problem.... he did mine for free... coz i had spend a lot there already.... he might just charge u a small amount .... its got to do with the door only.....
