Help! E30 M20 Auto to Manual Conversion

Hi everyone, need a favour from you guys. I tried searching the forum for this specific topic but to no avail.My ride is e30 m20b25 with auto transmission. Recently my friend’s ride, an e30 m20b23 with manual tranny, got involved in an accident and he basically lost his hope to restore the car. He offered me any part of the car that I’m interested in.I’m thinking of converting to manual transmission for increased driving experience. From prelim discussion with my mechanic, I found out that I’m gonna need these:1. Flywheel2. Clutch set3. Gearbox complete set – can anyone explain what should this consist of?4. Axle5. Clutch and brake pedal6. Gear knob with leather consoleWould any sifus here care to share, if there is any more part that I need to salvage from his car for this project?TQVM in advance!

I am sorry to hear of your friend's accident and the demise of another E30. If the accident has not damaged too much of the front end you will be able to salvage most of the parts you need for the conversion. The list you provided pretty much covers the major parts. The gearbox would consist of just that, the Gearbox. But of course you will need the shifter train or links, which connects the gear shifter (handle/knob) to the shifting mechanism in the gearbox.
Some of the smaller things you may need are the centre console which is different for the manual.
Does your friend have parts he would want to let go to a fellow E30 owner? I am looking for replacement parts for mine.
