Hey guys, Just wondering if anyone here is on H&R Sports Springs.I drive the 525i M-tech and i just swapped out my standard springs for a H&R Sports. The ride is abit harsh esp over small bumps on the highway that give it that ever so gentle bump.Over small sharp bumps also like going up onto a bridge on the highway or crossing those highway metal links, its really harsh and real hard crash. Is it the springs on the 20inch rims and 25 profile tyres? But i had the rims before the springs and i dont remember it being so bad..Thanks a bunch!

bro, u r having a 20" rim on your E60? r u driving a white E60 frequently parking outside autofuture design in uptown. if yes, your ride is awesome, i always admire your 20" when i pass by, but i am worry about your low profile in our road condition, drive safe

I think that white one is owner of autofuture punya la mouse..
Bro kenny's ride is black :top:

Mouse: The one outside Autofuture is either the owners or if the plate num is 6666, then its my friends, also modded there. :)

bmrocket: Yup, mine is black and nowhere near as nice as those white monsters.

The mods on those white babies.. When i go home sure kena divorce from my wife. HEhe

Yours looks good in black to lah kenny..same color as mine..but mine smaller la
Where in perth you at bro???

kenny...with 20's and ultra low tyres, i think u have to live with it la. not sure about the e60 suspension setup, but with my 17's, i'm already cursing when going over bad road.

maybe unless u get the magnetic suspension, might help a bit. not that costly, around rm50k i think :D :D

ramsing: For RM50k, i can get an airbag suspension set up. :D

bmrocket: I used to live in Applecross in Perth. For 5 years. Now back in malaysia for good. Hehe.. :D

Miss the lifestyle there though. Definitely a change. :D

kenny,

In this case, I think is quite obvious that your springs are too stiff..., you did not notice or complained before changing to these springs right??? what shocks you use? how much you bought the springs?

hai..me still thinking to change to H&R springs with bilstein shocks for my 5 er too, e34 la...

I think so..

The thing is it was getting abit harsher on the 20's but nothing to shout about. I even drove to Penang with the 20's and was ok... BUt...

Once the H&R springs came in, driving from Klang to KL was a chore.

:D

wan520i: sorry, my bad.

1. I noticed the ride was significantly harder when i changed the rims. But when the springs came on, it became even worst so yea, the springs made a big difference.

2. Im using the standard shocks that came with my car. :)

ok, thanks, but at the first place, why you changed springs? i tot M-sport model is already lowered...?

Have you tried Eibach springs?

wan520i: Ive tried the Eibach Prokit Springs and it turns out with the Eibach springs, the ride is more comfortable than the standard M-Sport Springs and abit higher on the front than the M-Sport Springs.

I was looking for a drop more than the standard M-Sport springs which is why i opted for the H&R! :)

if you want your ride to be even better with 20's, then go for kw v2 suspensions...they are worth every single penny spent on them (RM7,500.00 for these coilovers)...it's an adjustable height & stiffness type...i'm on this setup with 245/30/20 in the front and 295/25/20 in the rear...if you've driven your car with run flat tyres and m sport suspensions before, than this setup is definately better...

k3nny, just curious, since the H&R springs lower the car relative to current M-tech springs, then doesn't it mean the M-tech stock shock is not matching and hence potentially contributing to the harsh ride?

a lot E90s having harsh ride in the US running H&R sport spring with stock shocks.

viewfinder: That is highly likely although it is not necessarily.

I have previously used Eibach Prokit springs on my E46 with the standard shocks made by Sachs that came with the car under the M-Tech sports package i think.

I subsequently swapped it out for Bilstein shocks which i used for 3 weeks and made crossing railway tracks a living hell.

So in the case of the E46, it isnt necessarily so but in the case of the E60, it could be.

Anyone have any shocks to recommend for this particular spring?

Thanks a bunch

Kenny, are u the one that had a black e46 m sport in perth last time??? Do u know Sharizat??
