Quote from BMW Coop;"BMW 5 Series E60 was a controversial model, is considered the purest expression of misunderstood genius Chris Bangle. The controversy will continue only until December this year. BMW 5 Series E60 occurred in 2004, creating a lot of controversy because of cutting-edge design, Chris Bangle mark. Many appreciated the style opulence, while others felt that the Bangle style harm the image of BMW. This model will reach the end of the road soon. According Bimmerfile, a blog focused on brand Bavarian, BMW manufacturer is instructing dealers to not take special orders after October 9, 2009, following the series production will end in December.Production of next generation F10 BMW 5 Series will start probably in early 2010, attending be introduced at the Geneva Salon in March 2010. Currently the only version that will be produced will be BMW 5 GT."

I don't like Chris work with Opel and Fiat, especially Fiat Coupe where he was the chief designer. I don't like his E65 pre-facelift, the headlights looks awful.

After that, his design was great, Bangle butt is unique and nice. It even made a Camry looks good!

I'm going to miss his design.. but his butt will be around for sometime..

New design for 5 series, people change car. More sales for BMW. That is the idea.

I think Fiat Coupe is a classic.. after almost 15 years, i still turn my head to look at it.

Yeahh..the bella is not too bad looking compared to the Hyundai coupe!!hahahahaha

prices will be going down......

time to start looking at the 2nd hand market now....

Aiya... havent had the chance to own now stop production! Hope to at least own it one day. Love the looks.

...blum puas pakai, BMW dah nak stop production pulak but for the sake of continuity (continuos improvement - hopefully) and in line with market demand for more sleek and improved performance, we will have to just wait and see, what BMW have in store for us consumer.

Just hope that the new design (F10) will be a compliment to the older E60 and not make it a total obselete :top:

nd : will try and gather all E60 owners to combine forces and offer BMW to sell lock stock and barrel of E60 parts that is still in the BMW plant .... :top::top::top: bole jadi stokis in this region .....:wink:

Well BMW traditionally has followed an evolution revolution sort of method when changing their models.

The E34 to the E39 was rather similar and same with the E65/E66 to the F01/F02.

Safe to assume the changes to the F10 will be very similar to the changes to the F01/F02.

Infact, we can assume that the F10 GT interior will be the final interior the F10 sedan will get?
