Sifus, guys and gals,Would appreciate comments, past experiences, solutions, recommendations in respect of mysterious happenings in my UDM. This morning around 1.00 am decided to go out for supper. Went into my UDM 1st attempt to start d car failed, did not put enough pressure on the key, 2nd attempt to start d car also failed, however, this time around have to reset time, date, and year of the OBC. 3rd attempt, the car starts fine. After reversing the car, put the gear into D drove off however the car was very sluggish, abnormally sluggish no acceleration at all, then noticed that one of the indicators on the dashboard i.e. the gear with the exclamation mark within the gear is on (is this the check engine indicator?), however, decided to still drive out for supper. After the car is driven a bit and pressing the accelerator very hard the sluggishness dissapeared. After having my supper apprehensively went into the car. 1st attempt to start the car, the car starts fine. The indicator that was on previously was not there anymore and the sluggishness had also disappeared. Around 9.00 am went out for breakfast, none of the symptoms mentioned above are evident. Ghost in the UDM or a prelude to something much worse. I'm driving a 1995 e36 325 sedan. Last friday replaced the following items i.e. top bearing, tensioner bearing, air cond damper, air cond roller bearing, water tank, ignition cable, and coolant sensor. Could any of these be the reason?Would greatly appreciate any inputs.

Whats the mileage on your car at around 150,000 kms the gear box has been know to let go. Even thought the light has gone off i would still suggest you hook it up to a diagnostic machine and get it checked out.

Update.

Replaced the battery (2.5 years since it was last replaced). Next morning the same problem occurs with a slight difference i.e. now I don't need to adjust the time, date, and year every time the UDM do not start. The next day went to MSpeed USJ informed Ah Meng of my problem. He Modic my UDM - No transmission fault :D :D but O2 sensor and a host of other sensors are faulty. He do not think the O2 sensor is the cause of my problem and advised me to replace the fuel pump and timing sensor and if these do not solve my problem then only replace the O2 sensor. Up till to date my UDM is still suffering the same problem. Will probably go back to MSpeed to replace the O2 sensor next.

Will update this post till problem is solve.
