Is it only after you change the atf? Never happen before?

yeah, I ve heard this kinda of case....recently a friend also facing same issue. His lower gear jerk whenever changed.
I ve changed mine a year ago....nothing goes wrong....

Is yours the GM gearbox? If you're lucky it may just be the reverse solenoid.

Hi bro Zul,
Don't mind to share your experience, where you bought it and how long is the warranty period. I have a problem with my tranny - as the oil leaks, and from the modic (not sure the spelling) reading it shows "excessive slip". I went to MScope, for rebuilding it, was quoted between RM6800 - RM8000. I ask him why there is a range of price, and was told, depend on how bad is my tranny. I try googles for refurbish tranny, and found out, JKS Automotive in Balakong that sell refurbish tranny but need to trade-in mine. I was quoted RM4500 including installation with 6 mths warranty.
Any sifus out there have any experience with JKS Auto?
BTW, my car is E46 328i Salloon year 2000

yea. it was working fine before this, only occur after i changed the ATF oil//

yes, mine is GM gearbox. Hopefully is just the problem. rebuild the gearbox would cost a bomb!!

Bro i faced the same problem, once a week reverse wont engage, but will be ok after a few hrs. Thought atf was due, so change atf. Still happens but once a couple of months. If persists i wanna go MT edi, less headache
