Gear Indicator Light Next To Gear Stick

After u park your car & shift to P ,does the gear indicator light (P) next to the gear stick remain continously lighted after u lock your car?

Good observation

answer is no. it will power down after about 15 minutes once you lock the car. This means the car gone into "power save" mode.

Yah, I noticed that on my E90 too but didn't bother to check back because I thought the LED won't consume much electricity.. now u have mentioned it.. I think mine behave the same... it will "sleep" after awhile.. I guess that's the time during which u unplug the FOB and can still crank the engine without slotting back the FOB into its holder.
