Fuel filter

Guys & Sifus,Need some advise.I just change my E36 318 old original fuel filter to new fuel filter brand kolbenschmidt since the original one a bit old already. Anyway, after changing to new fuel filter my fc seems to go high. Does changing fuel filter affecting my fc?Thanks.

Hi bro,

I changed mine also during my recent major service. I thought my fc is same if not better. It depends also on driving style and also whether town driving or long distance. mine town driving 21.5sen/km, long distance 16.5sen/km. I think it is quite ok since petrol already high. how much yr fc?

Wow, 21/km is fantstic, my latest e46 318 1.9l is giving me 23/km.

err can meh, after change fuel filter u get higher consumption?

...... since we all using fuel injection, the amount of petrol go inside the combustion is depend on the ECU programming.

unless there is a leak at the connection at the fuel filter or petrol pump, then higher la....but i donno, i might be wrong....better ask the pro in this forum.
