Fuel Cap - Is it under warranty?

Hi, anyone knows if the fuel cap is under warranty for replacement? The rubber strap/tether thingy broke. Seems like very poor material for our hot and humid weather.

Under the 5 year warranty period? May I know which dealer you dealt with? Wearnes and Quill say that it is not under warranty, even though my car is still under the 5 year warranty.

I bought my car from Ingress @ LDP, the sales and service personnel are quite easy to deal with and the services are efficient too.

just use black tape to tape back the rubber strap. if you ask them to replace they will give all kinds of excuses.

I had same issue back in 2016 and car was under warranty. Car bought from Ingress Puchong.The SA said it is not under warranty. Plus the strap is not sold separately, need to buy together with filler cap. Dealer quoted about RM100. Parts shop (Bavarian Auto, Stuttgart) quoted around RM60. Didn't replace it until now ..

Hi, same thing happened to me, 2016 LCI model...it just snapped one day recently. Poor material. Perodua Alza 4 years old still intact

Dear All, I got mine replaced at AB, FOC under warranty. The new cap seems to have a QR code printed (for item code?)...quality wise, the strap looks and feels the same.
