Front suspension niggling sound.. 528i

Dear all sifus,Since the car is so damned silence (except for the muted engine note...nice!!) i can't help but notice there's a 'loose' sound from the front suspension when i go thru ripples on the road. My 528i is my first UDM thus I have no idea whether this is quite normal for an almost 8 yr old e39. Jacking the car a few weeks ago discovered the right steering tie rod's end has eaten up the rubber. The absorbers are however fine. My guess is this:1. Front shock mount less than perfect;2. Ball joints already due; or3. The worn steering tie rod itself.Any advice on this one? The steering feels fine for me...but this is my 1st UDM, so everything about the car is a huge improvement from my Waja & Unser.

yep azan u r rite do check all those lower arm, upper arm, tie rod and all the bushes down there and also maybe the steering rack............happy checking

tq bailey. my mechanic drove the car and said the sound was not profound to cause concerns. jus had the car for 1 mth only..still have the itch to make good the car now and then..heh heh. anyway, will take the car for a thorough check up and will update members.

E39 niggling sound

Thanks bro, will check that as well. If the brake dust covers are ok...i think i will start with the cheapest possible culprits....the stabilizer bar's rubber mounting and the vertical swing arm supports cos I looked at those as well...the rubbers are quite torn & worn. If tarak improvement...wait for bonus and do the tie rods. heh heh. any suggestions?
