those rims r BBS LM...

couldnt agree more wif GeeTRM5, the bodysyling of E34, E30 n E36 is evergreen. (perfect use of word there bro!) u'll only like it more the more times u c it :D

Rims looks like BBS LM or even RXII. Nice two peice ones.

4.4 Litre. Roadtax is a killer. Petrol drinker too. I will stick to 2.5 L6 config or a nicer one would be E34 with E36 M3 3.2 engine!.

I sokong Fabian...pics?

Hi Fabian,

I am trying to update my CarDomain pages. Been taking pic of other cars strangely. Seldom of my own cars. Anyway got a whole pack captured from my home PC and will edit and post in my CarDomain pages soon.

My car is getting attention of TopGear Phils mag here. They wanted to shoot it but kept delaying due to schedule conflict. Having a busy day ob myself, I have little time during the daylight hours. ...

Weekend, I spend mostly at home in the pool with my kids...., occasionally crusing in the wagon. Wife does not like high-speed but the wagon is very deceptive. I kept saying its ONLY 80 kph while it is hovering at 130 K!. In my sedan I storm at 150-160 K most of the time due to its handling prowess. With a nicer audio system, I can keep the family members more entertained with music while I concentrate on the road ahead.....

a great lookin car..wat a looker,man..damn fierce..
the colour makes the car looks fast even wen it's not movin..huhu..wunder if i ever could have mine lookin like it..

I think it's the combination of the black body and the large shiny BBS wheels that gives it the fast look! Go for black man...

A little of topic here, anyone know what's the kerb weight of E34 520i and 525i?

Gee,

Kerb weight 525 auto is 3600 lbs. I think the 520 maybe 100 lb lighter or there abouts.

My touring is a heafty 200kg leavier, making it about 4000 lbs!. Only can feel the weight about 2 seconds into 1st gear, after that , the weight seems to vanish as the torque builds up quickly, thanks to Vanos.

Some joys of euro dog-leg manual : Couple of months ago, I went for a FunDrive with some friends in 6 car convoy. There was a hill similar to Fraser's hill but less turns and wider two lane carriage. Other cars were busy down-shifting to 2nd from 3rd and upshifting. I stayed on 3rd gear, gas up from 2K rpm to 4.5K rpm, it was easy and smooth without a hint of powerloss. This was the only time, I DID actually feel Vanos kick in at 2800 rpm. Others thought I was upshifting from 2nd to 3rd: Say what ?. I am still on 3rd all the way: only right foot controlling to speed, no brakes needed!. Sweet!.

Thanks for the weight info. Hmmn...1640kg for 525i. Heavy lah...

On the issue of Vanos at 2800rpm, do you feel a momentary hesitation to the car's momentum when the vanos kicks in?

if you're worried about fuel consumption etc etc..why bother buying a bmw in the first place..i'm sure these ppl are more concerned about the fun factor & power rather than oh crap how much fuel am i going to use?
a lot of these ppl also have other cars to use on a daily basis & may only take them out on special occasions or the weekend..

no its just sickenning to see it over n over again..any thing over 3 litre..whoa how much road tax, fuel consumption?! get over it man!

got to understand that forummers here come from all walks of life... not everyone here can afford to have more than one car... to these ppl consumption and maintenance is one of the most important criteria in choosing a car.... at least in Malaysia, this is the scenario.
