Flat tyre monitor (rpa) failure & driving stabilization (abs)

Dear All, confirmed was one of the rear wheel speed sensor died. I went to AB in Tun Razak to fix and was done in a day FOC under warranty. Tech told me it would cost about RM 500 if no warranty. It's a very common problem due to the design, so much so they stock many parts in their warehouse! lol...I also heard the sensor is used to sense wheel rotation speed (used by ASC) & Flat Tyre (RPA), hence the multiple warning that appears.

Unfortunately the alert is not detailed enough to tell which wheel is having the issue. Perhaps when hooked up to BMW computer, it can easily show it. I also asked the tech how to prevent it, but there is no sure way, which really sucks...

Car is working fine now, just wanted to share that when the alert comes out, i noticed the gear shifting is not as smooth, engine is in higher revs and will not upshift to Gear 8. You can however manually shift it up/down.

Thanks for the update. it popped up today for my car. Will take it to Glenmary as its the nearest.
