dear sifus, got a pair of mtech seats and when it was installed, the seats are touching the carpets, so now cannot slide back and forth and also cannot use the tilting function... they said that the screw on the body is too short to fit the seats as it supposed to be.. anyone who experienced the same problem? is it really the case and any idea for solution? thanx

Just add "washers" and the problem is solved.

add washers and longer bolts needed too.....at least on 2 is bolt, and the other 2 studs. ( fixed to floor ones )

try checking insulation under carpet.....maybe got wet before and "grew"...shave as needed!

the seats have height adjustments.if the pressurised gas struts are dead, the seats will be in the fully lowered position, causing it to rub the carpet maybe.....?

if your body have shorter bolts, then u canot add in washer.

i found out there are 2 types, some the bolt is on the chassis, by using nut to tighten the seat frame to the chassis.

some the thread is on the chassis where u need to tighten the bolt & seat frame onto the chassis.

its very simply.. if the bolts on ur chassis shorter, then just change it to longer one from the bottom of the car, ur mechanic should be able to do it unless the bolt is rusted and worn out badly.

possible situation, or the setting itself is at its most lowered position

please press and lift the adjusters to adjust height, tilt, and other positions

other then that, you gotta replace the whole seat......

Skar19 all will be fine to that what you requested,
I do have problem on my drivers seat, change all seats to leather good xcept my drivers seat a bit senget and I have tried to amend it just can't ...looks not to my eyes when its a little out. the senget is at the back support left bottom join just can'nt see why, did push, knock the metal joint, nothing move so I gave up unhappy when looking at it but others don't realise it xcept me.

Thanks for the offer skar19.

Car in workshop now doing the rust job. Asked the mechanic to look at the seat as he need to take it off.. see how it goes
