dear all... I'm using MtechII bumpers ( fiber ) for my 1984 e30. just today i realized that the towing hinges ar ehidden inside the bumpers ( front and rear) what should i do in case of emergency? can i modify or do something about that?i believe some of the e30 owners here using fiber bumpers.... please share.thanks

you don't need those tow hinge. those tow truck here in Malaysia, have more than one option, the regular one that i always saw is the "fork" like metal that they fixed to your tyres.

yeah..I guess its better to leave them..unless you really want to do it. I have my rear ones done. All you have to do is cut the bumper piece out (there should be markings on your bumper, if u get what i mean) After that, just use a plastic piece or whatever you can to substitute it as a cover. Some may tink it'll look butt ugly but this is just an option you can undertake. Otherwise, just take Strider's advice =)

If you want to make it look nice, cut out the hole, then go to stockist and order the ori little cover panel with the tabs, paint it same color then snap it into place.

Overall the tow hook is not really necessary for road use, assuming you don't go into a ditch or anything. if you go track though, better have it accessible or will be towing problems if your car gets disabled.
