Faulty Power Window

Bros & Sifus, need advice here - all 4 of my power windows are *dead*.. I've changed the switch & the motor aswell. Works only for few months after that .. *dead* again. Have to open my door when taking parking ticket *sigh* .. it's 4 door '91 E30 M40. Need recommendations .. where to repair in Klang Valley.. :unsure: thanks

I sounds more like a wiring problem. Have the wireman check them out.

what about the fuses? Experienced the same problem once and mine was due to a blown fuse.

Maybe the wiring I guess or the motor.. coz there's this 'tick' sound when I press the button but the window won't move.. any shops specialize in this?

If below solve the problem for you, is u change the sw with new one or 2nd hand? if no, just share with you.

My car same with u at 91' 318I 4 door, almost 4 window can't work at the end i get the good workshop at JB Tmn u.

They take out my 4unit of power window sw and open the SW cover, inside have a contact point and because our car is almost 14year and wear & tear condition make the carbon inside, they just use the sand paper and cloth to make clean on the sw inside, the end all of my 3 door can work right now except one window motor is spoil.

That is the cheaper way and i think if u go for the car shop, they sure will change new one for your instead of repair, am i right?
