Facelift bonet on prefacelift body- is it possible?

Would like to get your suggestion and comment please.... Can i just fit an original facelift bonet to my prefacelift e46? Would it fits properly or maybe some minor modification could make it fits nicely? has anyone here did it? mind to share....
