f30 bonnet dent

f30 bros, did you noticed that a lot of our f30 got dent on the line of the bonnet? i have come accross at least 5 unit new f30 which got dent on the same spot. wondering how could it happened. please check yours.

I sent my car for replacing the windscreen (due to manufacturing defect) and noted a dent at the same spot after I collected my car. I sent to paintless dent repair at Puchong. Johnny fixed the problem and charged me RM180 for the work.

any idea how the dent is there? my friend bought a pre reg unit and only noted it on both side of the line after 1 week, then another friend who just bought a new msport unit which he check throughly dent free before delivery but the dent is there on 1 side after 2 weeks driving.

Not sure about your case. For mine, I asked the Service Advisor to send the technician(s) who replaced my windscreen for another round of training. Obviously, they dropped something and caused the dent. But, I did not notice that before I collected my car. So, RM 180 was my own cost to fix it.

i got the dent also. i thot it was from a small twig that dropped during heavy rain.
now am a little more suspicious.

such consistency points to a stamping defect. BMW must have bought cheap stamping die to bring production capex down for F30. another evidence of quality being compromised.

i think alot of f30 owners still dont notices the dent and i dare not say all got dent but at least i have see alot. totally agree quality being compromised.

Owh Damn, I collected mine yesterday and didnt do the dent check. Instead i sent it straight to 3M for tinting and body coating..Nervous now. Where exactly thr dent mark again?

what is your model of F30 320i ? or 316i ? i decide buy 316i but scare many complain of quality

i actually see this on all f30 except 316i. mine is 328i which dent on one side and 320d which dent on both side. dont worry too much abiut quality imho. its under warranty and since the car come with the dent i claim it. btw its a good car but pricey.

i notice too but funny not much complaint. maybe alot of our bro didnt noted the dent. its the manufacturer defect i think. anw i submited for warranty.

Thankfully don't have. Body works one of the main pre delivery checks. Could be batch problem like the rusty seats. Noted last year the piece in front of bonnet above kidney grill in a few cars last year misaligned even one in show room Jalan Sg Besi.

my 320d which is 1st batch cbu version at time of delivery i never noted the dent until a month later. at 1st i thought i am the one who dented the car but after i checked other f30sss i noted a lot also have the same dent. so for the 2nd f30 i checked thoroughly and made sure is dent free but after 2 weeks of ownership the dent itself appear on 1 side. haiz.......
