The 2nd Practice Session for Australian GP has just concluded with Williams Toyota topping the timesheets followed by Brawn GP, Toyota and Red Bull. The top guns like Ferrari, McLaren, Renault and BMW Sauber appear to be languishing. Are the top teams sand-bagging or does this point to a new world order in F1?

If u follow d recent news on F1, u might know d reason.

This is mainly due to loophole on the size of rear diffuser. Williams, Brawn & Toyota found a loophole & extend their bodywork to be part of rear diffuser. Tis has resulted in bigger rear diffuser for this 3 team.

Actually another reason some believe is due to the fact that the big guns started development on their 2009 challengers late. Most of the mid-fielders and back of the bus teams already started development early whereas the big boys up front had to concentrate more on improving their 2008 cars for the championship fight.

Looks like 2009 is shaping up to be an exciting year indeed. :)
