Number 14 in the diagram in RealOEM:http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts.do?model=DT62&mospid=47546&btnr=51_2427&hg=51&fg=75

But those are RIGHT undertray covers

14 LOWER LEFT ENGINE COMPARTMENT COVER 51717008689 (09/2000)

14 LOWER LEFT ENGINE COMPARTMENT COVER with bBrake air channel 51712694899

51717008689 is air duct for non sport bumper.

So sport and non sport is different? Sport one has a brake air channel?

Ok I'll call my local dealer to confirm, get a quote and order.

Thats new price? Is yours with the air channel or without? To fit sport bumper? From RealOEM the price difference is HUGE..

without brake air channel is $18.38

with brake air channel $109.49

From the discussion above I think mine is the one with the air channel

Good to have a price comparison though..

Bro BMW7833, is that the one with the air channel? Same like the one I'm looking for sport bumper? How much did you get for new unit?

Mine without air channel. Prices quoted from RealOEM are for different market segment i.e. USA. However it is good for our reference purposes.

You are buying lots of e39 stuff and that is good. You may as well buy the O2 pre-cat sensors (you need qty 2) as it is expensive over here. Original with BMW logo by Bosch RM1.2k per pc and RM480 OEM by Bosch per pc. I am quite sure your pre-cat sensors are already degraded.

I bought mine some 2 years ago for the msport version at RM420 from BA at PJ, bought the wrong one initially at RM60.

I dont refer to the actual prices, but was surprised to see the differences between the two.

i'll think about the o2 sensor

This what I changed last time. Dunno if it the same one. Forgot the price but if not mistaken RM100 plus per piece

Thanks for the photos bro InitialM, unfortunately yourswont fit mine. From your photo yours is part no 51718159426 which is for cars up to 09/2000 and not compatible with later one.

Called the dealer (2 of them) just now and confirmed its part no 51712694899 that I require, and the price is £71.85 each.
Still cheaper than the RM420 bro Gerald 5 paid.

Bro affan66, how much are you selling?

Have bought the left undertray for £45 from a UK forummer. Used but in good condition so he says. Not feeling to pay the £72 dealer asked since funds are running low. Will come through the post in two days I hope.

£45 x 5 = RM225

..ermm..

Not sure whether the price is higher than here for brand new OEM but actually u can check the price with BA via email.

Based on Bro Gerald 5 here its RM420 two years ago, so RM225 is not that bad I think.

Shit i just realised the part he is selling is actually 51712498989, and is without the brake air channel. Is it still ok or not compatible?

Page from RealOEM.com (number 14, 51712498989):
