engine fan is too loud...

need help,,i jus bought e39 520 2.2....jus want to ask it this normal,when u drive u push the accelarate then at the same time the fan bunyi kuat..but some time the fan sound hilang,,like normal...i dunno what to do...if anybody have this kind of experiance..thankk

normal

the mechanical fan clutches when engine temps are high and de-clutches at normal temps.

you can try this at home :

after reaching home from work,let the engine idle and open up bonnet,feel the air from the fan.if kuat,press accelerator and maintain ingine idle at 3k rpm.after about 10-20 secs,the fan will declutch and the fan sound will hilang.(keep your eye on the engine temp indicator by the way)
