Electronic Control Board Problem 528, 2010 Japan Spec

Type: 528, 2010 Japan Spec 3000cc

Problem: Engine oil sensor faulty

Solution: Replace new oil sensors

Result: Still faulty!

Recommendation: Change new electronic control board (RM 10K!) - as per advise by workshop which said that 1st batch F10 has this common problem.

My dilemma: RM 10K (a bomb!), Car need stay few weeks in workshop (need long time order the electronic control board!)

Need Help:
Any sifu / Taiko / Big Bro can advise on above. (Thanks you all 1st!)

Or

else, no choice i have to change the electronics control board :afraid: :afraid: :afraid:

Really appreciate all advise!
 
Wht the hell......
do u try find the components at those used spare part shop?
maybe can find some cheaper...

Everything is fine with the car except cannot measure the engine oil level.

To add on bit

1. Is there any alternative solution without spending a bomb (RM 10k) to change the electronic control board?

2. is it true that F10 2010 528 1st batch really have this common problem?

My advice:
1. You dont have to spend that kind of money 10k+gst for now if you still can drive the car normally
2. Make sure you check the engine oil level regularly from the dip stick
 
Yup I m oso agree with FASTCAT.....
since it is a big cost......
if ur engine oil didn't have any leak, thn just service it by every 8000~10k mil.
I think should be NP ady.

The problem is F10 don't have dip stick.. Haiz...

i encounter few times when driving at high speed (highway - outstation), the oil level might tend to drop bit due to vaporization (drop about 10%-20%).

So without knowing the engine oil level, very risky..
 
For update:

My F10 528I 2010 NEW ECU Control Board finally arrived & installed! with new program software.

Feel like new car with new engine..so far so good..

Poorer by RM 6.6K..(Total cost is RM 11K++ - as the AUTO insurance pay the balance RM 5K)

car insurance covered "ECU" replacement as well?
