Hi, Is anyone able to advise why my signal lights, brake lights, wiper and horn just dies suddenly occasionally and comes back up again after awhile???Very hard to drive as it rains nowadays.Thanks Rgds

1. check the battery terminals first.. They might be loose.
2. check for fuse at the fuse box.

look like a loose connection somewhere.

I know on the E34 the main fuse link is the culprit when you get symtoms like this. The fuse may appear ok but there are hairline cracks in it so thats why you get intermittent on and off the electrical components such as the wipers, horn, etc.

Check out how to locate the fuse link and replace at the following link :

If I am not mistaken I think the E30 also uses the same main fusible link in the engine compartment. Maybe you can just take a quick look, its a big black plastic cover with thick black cables running in and out of it. See the URL I send earlier to see a pic of wat it looks like.

If you do find it, open it up and you'll see a huge fuse (i think 80amp or something like that). Unscrew the fuse and remove it to check and see if its cracked or broken in anyway. Infact you might as well replace it since you are removing it, it only cost like $5 per fuse.
