maybe OBC is a bit haywire..
I do the old fashion way (since my 20 year old car has no gimmicky OBC which I don't trust anyway...)
Pump full tank. Reset tripmeter. drive as usual, then after 1/2 or 3/4 tank, pump full again... record BOTH trip distance and total fuel ($ and L) pumped in.. then do the maths...
I have spreadsheet for that for the last 8 years... With the info for each full tank, I set formula to self-calculate L/100km, sen/km, MPG, km's since last service, Sparkplug age (in km) since last change, Front brake pads, rear brake pads, front tyres, rear tyres, gear oil, rear diff oil..
All the information I needed to know in 1 glance..
