FC Post-Exhaust Mod

Fuel: RON97
Tank Capacity: 50L

Mileage per tank (pre-mod): ~480-500km

Mileage per tank (post-mod): ~482km (refuelled @ 429km with 3-4L of fuel remaining, which translates to est. 53km)

Avrg. FC: unchanged @ 9km/L

Impression: minimal increased in FC if at all, @ ~10-15km per full tank.

Conclusion:

The most accurate method would be pump in full tank, reset tripmeter to 0. and then next refill, jot down distance travelled and fuel pumped in. reset tripmeter and repeat process.. That would give you the most accurate FC...

Using the OBC to calculate is still dependent on the accuracy of the sensors...

But since you monitored using OBC pre-mod and post-mod and didn't show any significant difference, so it should be ok..

And u might want to monitor for a few more refill as the ECU will adapt to new mods..

that's the exact method i used bro, for the first full tank. reset the tripmeter yesterday after refuel, gonna continue monitor for the next refuels. wanted to reset the OBC's avrg. FC (ie. 9km/L) as suggested by Jarance but kenot one leh. I pressed and hold the reset button and ABS icon came out, then exhaust and fan icons came out... LOL! :stupid:

Heat Shield Installation

IMAG0287.jpg

Just got this done yesterday - heat shield installation for the additional right-sided pipe & muffler. Flicked the heat shield from a demised E87 in a chop shop for RM30.00. Installation was by a friend, who did a superb job F.O.C. (coz went to him to convert my rear lights into "Dark-Line" version). He utilised the same brackets and screw holes for the new heat shield, so no drilling whatsoever! The BMW heat shield was bastardised accordingly for the brackets.

Voila, heat shield all around for dual-exhaust! :top:
