E60 Airbag Light ON / Restraint system problem

anyone experienced the same problem before and have a solution? airbag light + seatbelt light ON & idrive showing 'restraint system problem'. the fault code could not be cleared with a diagnostic equipment & mechanic proposed a change of battery & battery cable (w/sensor). the diagnostic said something about battery terminal & voltage too high. total damage RM1.5k so would like to seek some expert advice first. thxp/s: once again, screw the engineers at BMW

i think it might b d sensor mat faulty. d location is underneath d front passenger seat. d cost also around rm1k++

I've got the same problem a few months back but had been cleared through the diagnostic and never come back
