E60 520i exhaust

Hi, I'm new here. Just bought the E60 520i recently. Thinking to change its stock exhaust to some aftermarket brand. Before I got the car, I had look at the underneath of the car, the full exhaust system has been welded. wonder thats how it is when the car is manufactured? Is it possible for me to buy a aftermarket one and bolt straight on?
