e46 Tyres

Question: Where can I buy 17" Bridgestone ER 30 Tire? One of my dad's tires has a lump in it and the workshop guys said that cannot find. Must change to 2 type G3 tyres instead. Why change two tires when can buy one lah? Are these tyres no longer available? Its for the e46 Sport model... How much ah?

usually, its recommended that you change both at the very least on the same axle, so that they will wear out at the same rate. especially so when you are changing the type of tyre.. remember, different brands of tyres, and types also perform very differently... rolling resistance, deflection..etc.

One thing I know.... Klang is a heaven for tyres! Lots of tyre shops... Should take a drive there and check it out...

Why change two tires when can buy one lah?

Not advisable to change only 1 new tyre if the other tyres have already worn out. It will be uneven. This applies for any car, not just BMW.

Thanks guys. The thing is that the tyre has only about 4k on it and no hard driving etc. But I guess got to buy a pair lor...
