2 of my customers having E46 320I MSport have this complaint.Whenever the car moves over any uneven surface, cornering or going down many levels in the basement, there is a squeeking sound from around the sides of the door windows. I drove their cars, and heard the noise. It's actually not squueking. It sounds as though when the car is moving over bumps or cornering, the body is flexing, and the entire door is moving very minutely, causing a slight "rubbing noise" that seems to come from the rubber strip around the upper 50% of the door frame. My guess is:1. Worn out door hinges. 2. Improperly aligned doors. Could be due to any previous collision repair??3. Door and window trim rubber have hardened and rubbing against each other?Any ideas, guys and gals?

item 3...

use vaseline or some door rubber softener.. it works.. the doors are shut very tight hence a perfect seal on the door rubbers.. since the body flex with the door shut, it creates movement, the soft rubber will not make noise.. only hardened rubber seals does..

Everyone,

Thanks a lot for your advice.
The 2 cars above were sent to a new beemer specialist (Eurotechnic Motorsports in Kota Damansara), and they managed to solve it.

Hi There,

Was told you recommended a paintshop near Kg Sg Ara to another forumer? Care to share with me the outlet details. Need some work done on my ride due to a minor accident at home.
Thanks:top:
