E46 Hid Issue

Need some advice from sifu here.
My right side projector HID headlight fail to light up and today went to accessory shop try changing a HID bulb today still fail. So, it seems like it's my ignition unit (ballast?) failure.
Has called some spare part shop asking original or OEM ballast price, it cost for 1k+ a unit.
So most likely I'll need to start looking for a used unit, which I think it's not so easy though.
May I know other than looking for original unit, what are other option available?
