E46 6 potter engine die when hot

hi to all/ bimmer sifus....i hv been running to few mechanics to solve this problem hope any member could share some idea..E46 3201 6 potterproblem ~ hard to start when hot and sometime engine die wthout warning and takes some time to start againrgds

did you check ur coolant level? Myabe your sensor are not working and there is no coolant inside?

Also it might be a problem of Ignition coils, o2 sensors and Electrical (alternator/regulator/battery)

BTW when you say Hot, you mean the temp meter is in hot? that means the engine are overheating that is why it will auto shutdown to protect the engine...

check coolant n water level ok..temp meter r in normal position..problem still there..will try to check t sensor/ignition

Also do check FUel line and pumps... this may also be in default since Hot temperature may trigger the fuel supply to the engine (this is based on common car sense) Im not 100% sure since im also quite new to my UDM

bro, i got feeling ur crank shaft sensor kaput... do check with ur mechanic. hope tis will help.
