e46 2nd inspection

spent rm2700 in stuttgart for my 4 year old e46 325i 2nd inspection! expensive! You guys pay the same amount elsewhere?

Going to do mine in about 3-4 months. AB Sg Besi told me to set aside RM3,000 (at least). Dang!!

My car E36, previous onwer did the 2nd inspection for 3K plus!!. But the list of repair show nothing much. :beaten:

What they do in Second inspection ? Is it Necessary ? Or Normal service and inspection by mechanic will do ?

less than 3k is considered good. I did Inspection II on E36 318i more than 6 years ago and cost more than 3k!

I saw a list of the "To Do" for Inspection II before, but can't remember the content. It's a long list.

I think it is not so much about repair, they inspect for wear and tear...anything that is consider wear and tear to them, they will just change it. Furthermore, IMHO...i think some parts will be change judging by the mileage you have clock on your car, even it is still in good condition.

I just did my 2nd inspection and its posted in the forum under E46 parts and maintenence. Although it cost me close to $3k, it would have been much less if I hadnt changed front brake (set) and well as change the power steering hoses (leaked). Those parts costs over $1K.
Car drives very smoothly now and much more responsive. Am smiling more nowadays.

Drats! Mine is due in 4,000 kms!! How did they take to do Insp II?

spending that kind of money, i sure do hope they actually go through the list & flush every single fluid on the car. have heard they just do an oil service and change filter & reset & charge you got insp2!
silly money..here it cost aus$850! hehe.. :blush:

Someone told me he did his at Stuttgart and it only cost less than RM3K and was done in 1 day...
