E39 , Stock Absober-Can re-condition?

Dear sifus...Read about the stock absober re-work ( reconditioning ) somewhere in the forum , but just cant recall where and when. Can it be done on e39 front absober and will the comfort be re-stored - or better to change to new one . Please advice . TQ in advance:top:

Just change to Bilstein B8 front and back two days ago and they were great.

I even checked it with one of the BMW mechanic - there are shops doing it ( he heard about it ) .

Again... end result is very subjective . But i think no harm of trying , or least 60-70% of the comfort can be re-stored.:top:

Front was 480 back was 420. Need to add mountings and etc. Got my mechanic to buy and install. :top:

Aiyoh. Each lah. If one pair you also will not believe it is new mah. Damn shiok after installing it. Formerly corner or on highway at highspeed like boat. Handling not so predictable now very stable. Little bit firm compare to Boge but still comfortable better than lowered type like B6. Getting old so comfort is up there in the priority scale.:top:
