Anyone out there have installed fibre bodykit can please help me out? is fibre work fine? or must stick to ori bodykit because is kind of expensive to go with ori.

bro, talking from experience here... save up and get the real McCoys.fiberglass kits are aesthetically ugly(if u are a perfectionist and wud notice even the smallest imperfections)and they are also hopelessly non-functional aerodynamically and although some people might tell u otherwise,it will affect the car's dynamics.
i was on FB and hated it!!!! i'm in the process of getting my ori Mtech2s..can't tell u how glad i am to be rid of those ghastly FB bits..

thanks bro. I think i need to start save some money to get the real M5 kit. Anyone know how much is it?

i dont think you want to know the price.........is is damn exohorbitant...even the Msteering wheel will set you back at least RM4k++++

:p :p
James700, all depend on yr budget, it looks the same unless you are (are a perfectionist and wud notice even the smallest imperfections') as what Supergripen says.

Replica M5 bodykit either fiber or PU price is around RM1,500 to 2,500 ( depend on which shop you but it from) including installation, plus another RM400 for painting.

Ori will cost you around RM8,000 (if you buy it from sapre-part shop) without installation & painting.

After that you have to fork out another RM 900 for fog lamp and its bracket.

So ... depend on you and yr budget.

last time when i had e39 (a few mths ago), it was quoted at RM12k to me..

I was offerred a replica PU body kit unpainted for 5.5K.

I paid a deposit for the fabrication of a GRP body kit at one of the loacl shops. But after I saw what they put the car thru and the eventual damage after a short period of use, I gave up and forfeited the deposit.

Remember you still need fogs, side mouldings and to top it all off, M5 side mirrors, M5 alloys, air intake and maybe exhaust tips.

..if u can afford to buy and maintain an e39,than u shud be able to afford the bodykit IMO.worst case u might need to save up a little.a little bit of pain and patience will make u appreciate it even more.. JMHO

buyin and maintaining a car is two different issues..you can obtain a e36 328i for less than 65k and a e39 528i for less than RM120k..but the cost of maintainin these two cars are miles apart...you will require at least twice the amount for the e39 for the similar parts i.e control arm vis a vis control arms...the e39 control arms is made of aluminium or shock absorbers..e39 absorbers cost at least 50% more than the e36's...so lets figure...

wow, that's cool for getting so much information, thanks folks. It's true that so many things to make it real, i guess i will take all advice in mind and consider properly before any wild action take it place :p anyway money of course is an issue because need to keep some to maintain the car and other cars...... :(
