e39 530i 2003 - Without multi function steering

Sifus, is it possible that a e39 2003 530i don't come with a multi function steering. Does that mean that it don't come with auto cruise function?

Unless the owner change the steering before, otherwise 2003 should have the multifunction steering.

Not change, most likely the steering sold......

Not really......................if the steering has been take off and disable all the functions then if you put it back it will not works as usual. You must you the BMW scanner 1.4 to check it works or not.

Nope. All the wirings should be in place, just change to the multifunction steering and you're set to go. The coding should already be in place from the original steering.

Hpteh72, do you own the car or looking to buy it? If its yours, look for someone with a spare steering wheel and test it out before purchasing yourself just to be sure.

Yes. This doesnt affect the airbag, it will work either way.

Yes.. Haywire is correct.. It won't change the setup, only the steering not connected to where it suppose to be. Even if you check with whatever scanner, it only will show error which is your wiring is disconnected. Unless the original setting/wiring is screwed up.

I have one original yr2000 multifunction steering if you interested.. But its taken out from my E46.. and I'm pretty sure it can be fitted in E39 (only different pattern I guess)..

RM 85k for this year 2003. This is the last batch of the e39. It comes with M-Sport kit as well. Find the car to be well maintained. Trying to nego further but the seller is adamant to go further.
