E38 - Front electric seats gone bonkers....

Guys, my driver & passenger electric seat is acting up... my recline function for both driver and passenger moves only on one side, i.e. my driver seat reclines only on the right side, my passenger seat only on the left...WTF rite!! :stupid:Anyone can reccomend a place that can sort this out? Also need to fix back the rear seat plastic cover coz it popped out when the seat was trying to recline... real bummer....

mostly is the cable issue only, i have the same problem with my E39 before that. repair 1 set cost less than RM100 i did at Carbi deco at Puchong (near Tesco).

Yup Sewell is right. Cable issue. Not to worry.. Yazmeen have got plenty of spares hehe

i don't repair them, i just replace the frame. repairing may be simple and cheap but u never get the factory alignment again....come over to my office bro..

My e39 kena this 2-3 times in the past 4 years. Foreman did "adjustment" and then it's all good, for a period of time.

Hi Yazmeen, can I ask what do you mean by swap ? Swap the whole seat ? My dad's e39 have similar problem sometimes thus looking out for solutions...

hi bro, i have some extra spare seats which is in good condition. so what we'll do, i'll use my seat frame, with ur original leather and the sponge. some rojak work but the end result does count
