E36 engine number

Hi guys,
My car failed Puspakom inspection because of engine number. There are 2 sets of numbers on the engine. The top one is 8 digits and correspond to the JPJ record. Puspakom takes issue with the 2 set (5 digits) which is below the first number. Does anyone know what the 2nd number is for? Thanks bros.

to me It look like your engine number has been punched...not nicely done..

Thanks moots. Looks like I have to change the engine number to include the code. Runner asking for rm550 including puspakom reinspection

doesnt looks good.. seen many done these days but way nicer than this.. if ur runner can kautim for Rm550 go for it bro.. its better to go through runner then personal since you already know this is not normal..
