e36 and e46 suspension

hey guys, fellow bimmerians,just wondering are the suspension from a e46 and e36 compatible? as i own a e36 but i have just been offered a set of kw coilovers by a close friend. so anyone know are they usable on my ride??? appreciate all ya contribution on this..... THANKS

AFAIK, they are different.

KW Coilovers?

Easy- just go to the KW website (google it), and compare the part numbers of the coilovers for the e36 and e46. Same part number means you can interchange them.

But, I don't think they are.
