OK, I have been looking around the whole forum and all the advise for wipers are really really confusing. I need a good set of wipers for my baby, cos she is going blind under the rain. I looked into dura-edge but all of the boxes said not fit for BMW's. Sanwon wipers cost like RM150 EACH~, Sumos dont fit properly due to the screen being rounded. I am very confused. Need advice from people who ONLY own E34 please. Thanks you fanatics!!!P.S.> SHARE THE LOVE PEOPLE!!!!

Bosch Aero.Bought it for Rm120 early last year.Special order coz e34 driver side wiper arm is different.Still works fine.

Bro QC55, buy originals, they cost RM120 only for a set. No issues on driver's nor passenger's sides.

Been using SWF for many years now, no issues. Can buy the refills or complete wipers.
The refill cost only $7 in singapore per piece.

get dura edge refills.these outlasts the original swf or bosch or whatever.had it on my e34 for more than 3 years with the car parked under the sun daily and worked flawlessly till i sold the car.will definitely get the same for my e39 when my time comes for me to go blind under the rain.

hrrrmmmm thinking over, all looks promising. Thanks peeps for the advise. bosch... bmw... dura(cant seem to find anyone who sells em), swf (never heard)

One easy way is to reuse your original wiper arms and replace the wiper rubber with dura-edge rubbers.

Dura-edge dealers can be found here - http://www.dura-edge.com.my/dealers.htm
The Club President has been using dura-edge for many years to good effect. See here - http://www.bmwclubmalaysia.com/forums/showthread.php?t=34234&highlight=duraedge

Another thread on dura-edge - http://www.bmwclubmalaysia.com/forums/showthread.php?t=35347&highlight=duraedge

Another brand that drivers seem to like is PIAA. Dealers can be found here - http://www.tjm.com.my/automotive/dealers.asp

Also see http://www.bimmerfest.com/wiki/index.php?title=BMW_E46#Wiper_Blades for the exact sizes of the wipers.

Salut

Bro I dont understand, do you mean judder or does it jump pass your windscreen?

I had similar problem with my E34 wipers, they judder on return. Changed the rubber mounting for the wiper spindle where the wiper arms are mounted.
Still no cure, my mech settled the issue. He twisted the wiper arm using an adjustable spanner, place your adjustable spanner securely 5" from the top of the arm and twist your arm once or twice slowly. Check the wiper operation and repeat action until a smooth wipe is achieved.

Hope the info is useful.

With the wiper arm up, using the adjustable spanner you need to bend the arm sideways slowly(twisting action). According to my mech the arm is not straight thus the judder on return. Hope you understand now bro, if not just buzz me @ 012-651 6090.

Clearer now. But should we twist it to right or left? Or we can easily identify it if we look at the wiper?

Am not really sure how my mech identified which direction to twist but on my car he twisted to the left first and checked the smoothness of the wipe.
Am guessing, if the wipe become worse then twist the opposite direction.

All the best.....
