Guys, tried to search for the above and saw too many discussion. My question:1. My car getting lower each day. Scrapping all the speed bumps in town. Someone told me the OEM absorber will sag with time. I thot this only applicable to the ladies, hahahaaaa. Need to change ... What brand to use? Sachs, Boge, etc? Prefer comfort and something that will not sag again.2. If I get used absorber, is it worth it? Some parts are built to last and it doesnt matter much, some parts are crucial and only need new ones.Need feedback from all E34 Taikos out there. If this has been discussed, appreciate if you can direct me there ...

Are you using original or lowered sport springs?

It seems to me that your springs have lost tension. If I were you, will go to chop shop buy 4 springs with absorbers. And just replace them with new absorbers if the items from chop shop is not in good condition.

Absorber gone bro. Spring seldom failed u.

Absorber is wear and tear parts, try don't to buy used one, unless u know the history.

bro 7833,
Do you know how long has he used the springs? 5 years ? 10 years? 15 years? 20 years? 25 years?
May I know springs or shock absorbers determine height of the car?
If the absorbers are gone, will it make your car lower and lower?

inclined to agree based on personal experience. had similar problem on my car lowered with eibach pro-kit. thought springs were the problem but turned out it was due to failure of the koni shocks. as temporary measure i had an old pair of bilsteins installed and ride height went back up...

Using original Bro.

I myself dont know how long the springs or absorbers have been there.

May I know how much the chop shop is selling the set of spring/absorber? For new absorber, I was told RM250-300 per piece.

Try to make an emergency brake and see whether your car tilt to front or not, if u feel the tilt is strongly, then confirm absorber gone. Or u can try to press your car by hand.

How u know the car getting lower and lower? U measure it? Or because u scrap the speed bump? U scrap the speed bump because the absorber failed to absorb the car down force when u pass the bump.

No need to measure Bro, visible to the naked eyes. Even if I stop my car, go out & push it manually over the bump will still scrap oso ...

u can get new abs cheaper than that..just go to munich and ask for gabriel abs..comfort + slightly firm than stock

B12 for the e34 (mine with eibach made springs) is on the stiff side but car handles and corners well. and ride height is just nice. reminded me of ride quality on eibach and koni adjustables before they crap out. i think it's probably got a lot to do with the springs as e46 on B8 and AC springs rides much lower yet more comfortable.

Tilt to the front? Ooppss I forgot to mention the sagging is for the rear tyres.
