how to differentiate m50b25 with TU engine by looks?

Based on the pic, that's a TU. The outer "goldish" metal slab give it away! It's the Vanos head...or selenoid.

This is vanos engine ,but hard to diffrence wheather 520 or 525 from attachment.

it's a 2.5 engine with a single vanos M50.
