Just checking with some of you guys here who is familiar with this problem; mine has not been in use for the past 6 months in the garage & the battery is completely flat, now all central locking doors cannot be open to jump-start the vehicle except the rear boot. Checked everywhere in the boot incl stripping the panels to find some sort of a positive terminal just to open the doors. Is there any other thing to do other than jacking up the vehicle to have access to the starter motor positive terminal to get the juice back to the battery. Much appreciated for some advice here.:hmmmm2:

Sorry if its a stupid question, but isn't your battery in your boot? The E38 is, but not sure abt E32.

Anyway, I think there is a way to open the door with your key when the battery is flat. I've done it with my E34 before.

Turn the key as far as it will go then lift the handle and the key will turn some more and open the door. If it doesn't work for the driver door, try the passenger one.

Good luck!

Andrew, the battery for E32 is under the rear seat.

Since the booth can be open, one can use the number plate lights connection whereby a good battery terminals are connected thereto to provide the current. Once that is done can either use the remote control or use the key to open the doors.
